Der Kugelkopf ist mit einem Cam-Lock-Arca-Swiss-Schnellkupplungssystem zur einfachen Montage der Kamera ausgestattet. Es ermöglicht die Montage und Demontage einer Kamera von der Oberseite der Plattform. Die Platte wird sofort arretiert, ohne dass die Platte in einer Nut geführt werden muss.

Der Kugelkopf PBH-635AS hat eine Tragkraft von 6 kg und ist mit einer separaten Schwenkarretierung ausgestattet, die die Kugel arretiert und gleichzeitig eine Drehung des Kopfes um 360 Grad ermöglicht.
Mit der Spannschraube wird der Bewegungswiderstand der Kugel eingestellt. Für Panoramas gibt es eine zusätzliche Arretierung mit Gradeinteilung.
Der Kopf eignet sich für Mittelformatkameras bis hin zu einer professionellen DSLR in voller Größe mit Standardobjektiv. Die Tragfähigkeit und die einfache Handhabung bieten aber auch gute Voraussetzungen für die Vogel- und Naturbeobachtung.
